Keep finding myself stressing over things in the future. I day dream too much, plan too much, and I get headaches when I find that my plan might not work out. I got quite a few headache these days...either from being too excited about plans, or too worried about plans......
Found so many proverbs on planning!
The plans of the heart belong to man,
but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the spirit.
Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.
—Proverbs 16:1-3
The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps.
—Proverbs 16:9
And I think this one really applies to me....
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance,
but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
—Proverbs 21:5
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
—James 4:13-16
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
—Matthew 6:25-34
Need to think about TODAY! stop being so anxious about tomorrow! Find rest in God.
